Mario’s rewards memories and pays tribute to deceased founder.

When Mario’s Pizza Founder, Richard Harford passed away in March 2024, he left behind a rich legacy of quality food products, enhanced with exceptional service, leadership and innovation and established since 1972 here in Trinidad and Tobago.

Thus, one year later, the Mario’s family is intent on celebrating and honoring this legacy with a national campaign to highlight the fondest and most moving Mario’s memories, as submitted by their loyal and adoring customers and clientel. The My Mario’s Memories campaign kicks off this week with special press, radio and social media influencer promotions designed to sensitize, educate and inform the masses about the fun and fulfilling in-store activations happening for the rest of the month.

March will forever remain a momentous and memorable Mario’s month and especially so after this promotion reawakens all the treasured memories of families and friends enjoying the great taste and life-enriching flavors of the freshest and most nutritious ingredients supplied by the Mario’s Pizza team.

“I am now the CEO of Mario’s Pizza,” said Roger Harford, “and this year we remember my father, our founder, Richard Harford, whose passion built the Mario’s legacy we all love. Since 1972, Mario’s Pizza has been more than just great food – it’s been a place of laughter, love, and unforgettable moments. So we want to celebrate our dedicated team this month, even as we honour my father and remember all the great moments and memories that have made Mario’s a virtual extension of your kitchens at home and included the Mario’s family as part of your own.”

The #MyMariosMemories challenge has official begun online and will engage customers to post and share their favorite memories at Mario’s Pizza with photos and videos. The Mario’s Pizza pages on social media will decorate the digital landscape with archive photos and historical info, Mario’s Pizza moments and key milestones achieved along the journey. Additionally, several popular influencers will also share their Mario’s memories with lucky consumers being awarded prizes in stores around the nation randomly and all this action collated with the hashtag listed here and above: #MyMariosMemories

Customers are further encouraged to create even more Mario’s memories with specially-created Memory Standees installed at specific locations and can capitalize on the limited-time “Founder’s Special” discounted pricing on a classic menu item in tribute to the late Richard Harford. Having transitioned exactly on March 22, 2024, Mario’s Founder, Richard Harford had previously listed in an interview that his favorite pizza combination included beef, onions, pineapple and mushrooms for an exotic and flavorful taste that colors the palate with a rich tapestry akin to the cosmopolitan makeup of our twin-island nation.
