
Global Trinidad and Tobago has launched an open call inviting eligible music industry professionals and persons operating in the audio/visual industry that are involved in music licensing to apply for the Sync Summit (online) which takes place from 2-3 February, 2026.
Sync Summit is an annual event with a simple mission: To help people and companies get access to the information, tools and people that can help them succeed in making and licensing music for all forms of visual and interactive media.
Full funding will be covered by Global Trinidad and Tobago to support the participation of 20 successful applicants. Through a strategic partnership with Sync Summit, the applicants will have access not only to the 2-day talks and workshops administered by top Music Supervisors, Sync Agencies and Music Libraries but they will also receive access to a customised experience showcasing producers and artists from Trinidad & Tobago; and exclusive access to contact databases for all Music Supervisors, Sync Agents and music libraries present at Sync Summit.

This initiative aims to strengthen the local music ecosystem’s understanding of the power of sync and connect them directly to the decision makers and libraries. By expanding participants international market access in this area, we are very sure that this will translate into a worthy revenue source for creators.” stated Melissa Jimenez, General Manager of the Music Unit at Global Trinidad and Tobago.

Leslie Ann Wills-Caton, General Manager of the Film Unit at Global Trinidad and Tobago and Film Commissioner added that “Every film is an opportunity to license music intentionally. When our filmmakers work with musicians from the development stage, we reduce costs, protect rights, and create assets that can be monetized long after the film’s first release.”
