The Bocas Lit Fest is wrapping up its Family Reading Circle series for 2024 with a holiday celebration.

On Saturday 16 November, The Writers Centre will come alive with festive cheer, promising a morning filled with stories, music, and the spirit of the season. In partnership with Let’s Read TT, this final Family
Reading Circle of the year will deliver an extra dose of holiday magic.

Attendees will hear from beloved children’s author Hazel Lynch — known for her playful storytelling —
while Kalifa Mc Alister, author, entrepreneur, and motivational speaker, brings her holistic approach to
empowerment and recently authored the life-skills series Jaya and Jhia. Christine Cardinez will entertain
young listeners with lively tales, sparking imaginations and spreading the joy of reading.

The Angels Music School will add to the festive atmosphere with live Christmas music, performed by
their talented young musicians. Known for their dynamic shows and consistent excellence in musical
training, they’ve been a pillar of the local music scene for over a decade.

Adults can join in the fun with a chance to win fantastic prizes, including return flight tickets to Tobago
and a holiday hamper, in a special raffle. Proceeds from this generous initiative will go toward the
publication of Christine Cardinez’s next children’s songbook, a follow-up to her much-loved Zoey’s Song.

Let’s Read TT will also be on hand, bringing their extensive children’s book library for curious little
readers to explore. They’ll share practical, easy-to-follow tips with parents on how to make read-aloud
time at home a joyful daily ritual, so the magic of storytelling continues well beyond The Writers Centre.

Paper Based Bookshop will be offering an exclusive deal: purchase any two children’s books during the
event and receive a free copy of the NGC Bocas Lit Fest Children’s Storytelling Caravan Book 8.
Attendees will also have the opportunity to pick up the latest Book 9, along with Storytelling Caravan t-
shirts and buttons.

Come for the stories, stay for the music, and leave with unforgettable memories and maybe a holiday
prize!
