The first edition of the new Books & Brews reading series  will be held  on Saturday 26 April at 4 pm, at The Writers Centre.

Troy Hadeed will read from and chat about his popular inspirational non-fiction book, My Name is Love. It combines personal anecdote, meditative practices, and guided techniques to speak about love beyond ordinary or expected terms.

The book has earned praise from OCM Bocas Prize for Caribbean Literature winner, Monique Roffey, who describes it as a title that “brings wisdom, and provokes contemplation of our wider horizons and our capacity for spiritual awareness and connection. Loving kindness leaps from every page. This book is a gem out of Trinidad, true soul reading.”

Troy will be available to answer your questions, engage with your comments, and sign copies of his book – which is available for sale a Paper Based Bookshop. Sleepy Cat Cafe will be serving up their delicious hot and cold drinks, as well as pastries and other snacks for purchase.
