The Music Unit of Global Trinidad and Tobago proudly announces the successful conclusion of its inaugural Inward Music Mission, a ground-breaking five-day music immersion that took place from November 26 to December 1, 2025.

This vibrant initiative attracted a collective of international media representatives and micro-influencers boasting a remarkable digital reach of over 2 million, to shine a spotlight our rich and vibrant cultural music landscape.

This collaborative effort was not just an event; it was a celebration of Trinidad and Tobago’s music tourism
potential and appeal, strategically aligned with the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Tourism’s ambitious export targets of $2 billion USD in 2 years and $5 billion USD in 5 years. By fostering a deeper connection between local artists and global markets, the Inward Mission having created avenues to drive significant export growth and attract vital investments to Trinidad and Tobago.

Key Objectives of the Inward Mission:
 Boosting visibility: Generating positive media coverage to enhance the global profile of Trinidad and
Tobago, encouraging exports and attracting investments that contribute to achieving our national
targets.
 Nurturing Connections: Establishing meaningful partnerships between local artistes, and international
personalities, facilitating access to distribution channels and opportunities that can expand their fan base
and increase sales – paving the way for future collaborations that can elevate our cultural offerings
worldwide.
 Showcasing Local Talent: Highlighting the incredible local talent that makes Trinidad and Tobago a
cultural powerhouse, while providing them with direct access to export activities and international
collaborations.

Throughout the 5-day experience, participants engaged in a series of enriching activities designed to elevate Trinidad and Tobago’s music visibility. These included visits to recording studios – 47 Productions and Purple Room. They participated in an industry networking event featuring captivating performances by the National Philharmonic Orchestra (NPO) and a small ensemble of the National Steel Symphony Orchestra (NSSO) and an immersive tour of the MITTCO, steelpan manufacturing facility.

They also attended the exhilarating National Panorama Single-Pan Band Finals and the electric Friends for the Road band launch which featured the Laventille Rhythm Section. The cultural journey included a tour of Mille Fleur, an exploration of the village of Paramin culminating in a live parang band performance at the La Vigie lookout, and a taste of Maracas Beach’s famous bake and shark. Participants captured their experiences through interviews for blogs and podcasts, engaged in spontaneous studio sessions and more.

The mission brought together a dynamic group of micro-influencers, journalists and cultural activists. These persons were: Alex Cassidy (@alexcassidyofficial) from the UK, Dane Taylor (@caribbeanelitemagazine) of Caribbean Elite magazine and Caribbean Music Awards from New York, Shelley Worrell of I am Caribeing (@iamcaribbeing) and Little Caribbean NYC from New York, Janluk Stanislas co-founder and Creative Director of CaribBEING from Guadeloupe and Martinique, and Zenya (@misszenya) from Australia.

The initiative has also fostered artistic growth through new song writing and recording collaborations with Zenya and other local acts; and also includes self-funded extended stays from three participants. Online, the @musicoftt social platform generated 42,000 views and increased its follower count by 1% in just 5 days.
