Multi-Media artist and cultural activist Rubadiri Victor will be exhibiting works from the ‘SEASON OF ANANSI FOLKLORE FESTIVAL’ to fund a replication of the festival in the UK.
The exhibition officially launches the ‘ANANSI GOES TO ENGLAND’ Initiative. It will run from Thursday 17th to Mon 21st July 2025 at 101 Art Gallery, #84 Woodford Street, Newtown, Port of Spain.
The Exhibition will consist of 77 paintings and objects from the Victor ‘s world – spanning a number of series. It is the Artist’s 11th one-man exhibition and his second in the historic Boscoe Holder Studio, the premiere art gallery in Trinidad and Tobago as co-established by the late Mark Perreira.

After a very successful third year, the SEASON OF ANANSI FOLKLORE FESTIVAL has been invited to bring its programme to Liverpool, England for October 2025. The offer has been extended by the Merseyside International Centre for Caribbean Carnival Arts & Black Imagination (MICCABI).

This Exhibition is a fund-raising effort for this historic trip. It will also feature a Retrospective on the just concluded SEASON OF ANANSI 2025.

According to Victor “This represents an extraordinary opportunity for Brand Trinidad & Tobago and our Creative Industries as the Festival is expected to take place in Liverpool, Luton, Leeds, and London intersecting with multiple institutions like schools, universities, Museums, theatres, community centres, performing arts troupes, etc.”
He is dedicating this Exhibition to Christopher Pinheiro, “My dearly departed very close friend and mentor in painting.”
The Exhibition opens on Thursday 17th July from 5 to 9pm.
