FOUNDED on philanthrophy, built by community and enhanced with vibes, the annual Fatima College all inclusive fundraiser has been designed to express love with this year’s theme of “Love Notes” and is set to raise the bar on premium fete experiences yet again.
Fete chairman Dwight Andrews explained to XVibes that this year’s theme was inspired by the Carnival festival’s proximity to Valentine’s Day, among other factors.
“So there are two things that that drove our theme this year: first was the fact that Carnival itself falls on and around the Valentine’s Day period. So that was the initial inspiration, and we also felt that the country had a lot of unnecessary rancour. So we decided that we wanted to have an event that highlighted the love in the system, and Love Notes, therefore, represents all aspects of love: our love of food, our love of music, our love of the culture, our love of ourselves.
So the entire environment is one where we invite people to do what makes them feel comfortable and to come and enjoy what they enjoy and love and to express their love fully at this event.”
President of FOBA, Christian Flemming admitted that sponsorship is at an all-time low this year, but assured patrons of no reductions in all the fabulous surprises and engaging amenities to be enjoyed at Fatima All Inclusive:
“Unfortunately, it’s true that this year sponsorship is probably the lowest it has ever been, but thankfully, we are still able to execute a great event thanks to the support from FOBA, the Fatima alumni and the general public who enjoy being part of a good thing. We encourage everyone who wants to support us in achieving our goals to support the boys and the school, to come to Love Notes on Saturday February 7 from 6 pm and enjoy the biggest bands, the best artistes, the most delicious food, premium beverages and of course, the vibe that prevails and makes Fatima All Inclusive one of the most anticipated, talked about and must attend events on the Carnival calendar annually.”
Andrews also revealed exclusively to XVibes that this year’s event will feature an all-new layout, specially-designed to encourage complete consumer satisfaction.

“We have gone away from the tradition format of branded booths scattered all around the venue and this year we have a Scotch Sanctuary which will feature nine different Scotches, a Gin Grotto with seven different gins, a Cocktail Corner with expert mixologists and a Vino Vineyard with all the wines and proseccos. So we continue to try different things to push the limits and challenge the norms with the aim of delivering the best to our customers, patrons and supporters.
“Many have shared their opinions on us moving across to the field,” added Andrews, “but we believe that one of the main ingredients in having a good event is a good layout and our school quadrangle allows us community. We do not want to get into a space that feels too large, where we lose each other! Fatima fete is a place where you are guaranteed to see schoolmates, where you are compelled to criss cross the venue and in doing so, you are destined to bounce up and meet old friends, former classmates, business associates and of course, government officials and corporate executives and we like that because we feel that this community aspect builds and maintains the vibe of the fete and keeps it as a staple on everyone’s lips. There are some who have a difference of opinion, but until our formula is proven wrong, we are comfortable with is as it is.”
