Popular One Caribbean Media radio station, HOTT93 fm has teamed up with the ever-popular Island Crashers event producers to add value and more visibility to their events. This Friday, June 20, the Island Crashers (IC) crew of budding entrepreneurs will assemble at Queen’s Hall for a Youth Vendor Market filled with artisan craft and local cuisine from 11 am to 6 pm.

Founded in 2013 by Brandon Koo, Jared Penny, Kye West and Nikolai Solomon, Island Crashers has hosted over 100 successful events over the past decade: ranging from outdoor live music events, boat cruises, club nights and multiple day music festivals. During this period, Island Crashers’ events has become a rite of passage for young adults leaving high school and entering the world of music, entertainment and party festivities. Determined to being pro youth and pro enterprise, Island Crashers has always found unique ways to achieve its main goals and presents yet another solution with the creation of the IC Youth Vendor Market. This initiative will provide many of Island Crashers’ committee members with a platform to showcase their entrepreneurial ventures to a wider audience at an affordable and safe space.
“Island Crashers has successfully entered into a partnership with Coca-Cola, Endcash, Guardian Group (Insurance), The Lollabee Group and HOTT 93.5FM to produce this youth vendor market, which will see over 40 vendors under the age of 30 selling a wide range of artisan crafts such as, art, craft, fashion, food, jewelry and more.” Stated a release from the IC committee. “The market is highly anticipated and is expected to attract over 2000 persons during the day.”
Hott93 is one of the flagship radio stations in T&T as part of the One Caribbean Media Group, which includes the Trinidad Express Newspaper/xvibes.trinidadexpress entertainment magazine , CCN TV6, RED 96.7 fm and many others across the regional media landscape. Station Manager. Raoul de Souza expressed excitement over the collaboration and the upcoming event on Friday. He said:
“HOTT 93 is very excited to work on upcoming projects with the Island Crashers team as we aim to provide quality content across multiple platforms. After conversations with key members of Island Crashers, we found a number of key principles and goals shared by both entities, which are driven by the desire to add value to the media and entertainment landscape regionally and beyond.

“We were also quite impressed by the level of thought and attention to detail that IC has put into ensuring that their events are not just memorable, but also logistically sound – where safety and inclusion are concerned,” de Souza added. “The HOTT 93 and IC teams are looking forward to this Youth Market and any future collaborations that will add value and excitement to the entertainment landscape as well – we sincerely hope that you, the people, will anticipate amd fully support these events as well.”
