The Dalai Llama has become the go-to venue for album and new music launches and showcases and singer/songwriter, Akilah “KillaBee” Baptiste recently filled the space for the launch of her debut album, Unbound. Inspired by KillaBee’s love for music and the desire to express her creative freedom across genres, the Unbound album features a mix of R&B, Neo Soul, Afrobeats with hints of Reggae/Dancehall elements infused with Trinbagonian lingo and flair.
Baptiste’s 14 track album takes the listener through topics of heartbreak, resilience, healing, confidence and more, all from the perspective and sometimes experiences of the singer herself. The album is available online now via all the major digital platforms.
