Songshine continues to push talent both familiar and new, with its next edition spotlighting the fresh young indie rock band, Sint James. 

Formed in mid-2019, T&T-based Sint James is made up of Dimitri Sandy (guitar, vocals), Evvi Persad (guitar, bass), and brothers Matthew Jodhan (guitar, bass) and Micah  Jodhan (drums). 

In a release, ths band said they are “inspired by local and foreign industry pioneers alike including Jointpop, Alex Turner (Arctic Monkeys) and Kevin Parker (Tame Impala). 

Poet and writer Adam Mar Andrews, who was unable to perform last time due to illness, is again carded to share his magical realist work. 

Also taking the stage will be author Lisa Allen-Agostini, who was shortlisted for the Women’s Prize for Fiction for her critically acclaimed debut adult novel, The Bread the Devil Knead, in April. 

The concert will take place at its new home, Kafe Blue (formerly Kaiso Blues) on Wrightson Road in Port of Spain. Doors open at 6 pm, when registration for the open mic begins. Admission costs $50.
