The Music Boss Raymond Ramnarine, lead singer for the big band DilENadan which means, “Young at Heart, sat down with us to share his Vibes.

Q: Besides yourself, what are your three favourite soca songs for 2024 thus far?

A: OK. So besides my “All-Inclusive” and “Down D Road” my three fave soca this year gotta be “DNA” (Mical Teja), “Inventor” (Ola) and “Good Morning” by Stephen Marcelle.

Q:Who are your top three favourite artistes of all time to listen to?
A: It would definitely be Bob Marley, Kishore Kumar and the Mighty Sparrow.

Q: When and where and how did you realise your song was hitting this year?

A: The first time I heard the demo of “All-Inclusive” I was in Canada. I instantly fell in love with the song. I realised that it was going to be a fan favourite when we started performing at the Christmas functions and the song was new to the ear. When I saw the response, it really felt good. I’m humbled by the amount of love and attention it’s getting. The song means much more to me, though. “All-Inclusive” means that us, as a people, no matter creed, race, ethnicity, we are one. We are all-inclusive.

Q: Tell us the story or inspiration behind your hit song?
How did you get the concept and why/when did you decide to record it?

A: Richard Ramnarine, my brother/manager, told me about the song. When I heard the title of the song, I said ‘let’s go for it’. Fete lovers always know Dil-E-Nadan as the ‘All-Inclusive’ band so it was a green light for me instantly. I must say thank you to Mevon Soodeen, Kit Israel and Stemz for giving me the right vibe on this song.

Q: Where will we find you this season? How can fans follow your progress?
A: Find me at every all-inclusive fete. Lol.
