Soca artistes have been staging their own concerts for more than a decade, ever since Machel Montano staged his Alternative Concept event in protest of failed negotiations with the promoters of the Caribbean Brass Festival, which – at that time – was the biggest event on the Carnival calendar. Buzzing with innovation and creativity, even as technology and growing global momentum surges toward increasing success for the Soca genre, the A Team will stage their own event this coming Sunday, February 2 from 5 pm to midnight at the Cipriani Labor College Grounds in Valsayn.

Band Manager, Zarin Morean told XVibes that the aim is to host the event annually as an extension of the “bamd which os now also a brand” and its parent company, Team A Entertainment, which aims to stage more events in the future and will also invest in auxilliary enterprises to benefit and support the entertainment industry.

Packed with all the hottest A-list Soca stars and welcoming patrons bringing their own vibes and coolers, this “A Class” event is a must-attend and will “celebrate sweet soca” with one of the youngest and most versatile orchestras in the business.
