Folk Culture and dance takes center stage as The Little Carib Theatre and Folk House celebrates its 75th anniversary with their Gala Fundraiser “Dance Beryl Dance.”

On Saturday 4th November, 2023 at 6:00pm, the theatre will host an unforgettable, indulgent evening
celebrating the institution and founder’s legacy and invaluable contribution to the cultural landscape of Trinidad and Tobago.

Founded in 1948 by the late dance legend Beryl McBurnie, The Little Carib Theatre and Folk
House

mecca of West Indian folk dance, it remains the only of its kind in the region. The event also

series of events in celebration.

Featuring a spectacular cast, patrons will enjoy the melodic vocals of Krisson “Seraphim”
Joseph and Band, and dance performances by the Malick Folk Performing Company, The Astor
Johnson Repertory Dance Theatre, Continuum Dance Project and Lil Angels of Dance. Host for
the evening is the ever entertaining Cecilia Salazar.

This packed, dance-centric programme isintended to pay homage to the folk roots and evolution of The Little Carib Theatre by way of showcasing a range of dance companies and performances.

Patrons will receive a complimentary drink on entry of wine, beer or rum and on sale will be
custom, artisan chocolates crafted by Cocobelle specifically for the anniversary celebrations.
