Debra Boucaud-Mason knows her way around a stage. As an actress, she can convincingly slip into a range of roles and elicit laughter or tears with seemingly effortless grace. As a director, she is organised and systematic, juggling numerous theatrical elements to ensure the production runs smoothly.

Sometimes she does both in the same production and still manages to pull off a successful show. Her behind-the-scenes dedication and hard work ethic have earned her a few Cacique Awards. And her openness to suggestions from the cast and crew has earned her the respect of her peers. They call her Madam Director.

Debra Boucaud-Mason is an in-house director/actor for RS/RR Productions. She has directed such plays as Men Are Dogs, Looking For Mr Big, Hotel 21, The Naughty Minister, My Crazy, Crazy Life, What People Do For Money, just to name a few.
FeatBody: Now she plays the role of Allyson in acclaimed writer Ricardo Samuel’s play, Ladies’ Room. You can see her on June 4 and 5 doing what she loves best, acting, at Cipriani College.

She will star alongside some of the other best actresses in Trinidad and Tobago such as Penelope Spencer, Cecilia Salazar, Zo Mari Tanker, Ria Ali and Leslie Ann Lavine. The play is directed by acclaimed director Richard Ragoobarsingh.
