Happy Boxing Day, Xvibes Team! Belated Christmas Greetings and advance Happy New Year! As we prep to enter C2K26, lots on the agenda so let’s begin.

This week we Vibes Up with comedian Gervail “Jr Lee” Lemo, who has been spreading laughter and warm Caribbean comedy throughout Trinidad and Tobago for some years now and more recently shared laughs to SOLD-OUT shows in Canada also. Check out our exclusive XVibes interview:

XV: Junior, you’ve been killing it in Canada – what’s next for you? Any new cities or countries on the horizon?

JL: Most definitely, I have a goal in mind right now to go to any country/city that I may have followers from. I wanna go out and meet the people that laugh online and make them laugh in person.

XV: How’s the social media influencer game treating you? Any exciting collaborations or projects in the works?

JL: So far creating content has been journey filled with surprises (laughs). The team and I have been planning our one hour comedy special not sure when we’ll release it but we’ve been working on it.

XV: You’ve been making waves in comedy, what’s the plan to take your career to the next level?

JL: Hopefully, one day, a movie, but not just any movie: I want a Caribbean classic comedy movie that everyone enjoys throughout the region

XV: Are you ready to bring the laughs to Trinidad Carnival 2026? Any shows or events we can catch you at?

JL: I’m not having any comedy shows of my own during the carnival season. I will however have two performances on the epic Carnival cruise and I’ll pop up at different comedy shows throughout the season.

XV: Will you be taking any of your Canadian show vibes to the Savannah or other Carnival events?

JL: I’m hosting a couple events definitely looking forward to partying and laughing.

XV: Any behind-the-scenes stories or bloopers from your shows in Canada that you’re willing to share?

JL: I met Drake at the launch of the Office Movers, walked up to him and didn’t know what to say. So I just ‘YO DRAKE I FROM TRINIDAD DAG!’ He was confused

XV: Can you give us a sneak peek into any upcoming projects or productions that you think will take your career to new heights?

JL: We’re going on Tour again trying to reach every country that I have followers. Pushing Caribbean comedy and pushing myself and my team to execute high-energy shows.

XV: Are there any exciting announcements or surprises coming our way that you can share with XVibes readers?

JL: Yes, we were part of season two of the Office Movers. Got a message this week saying we’re green lit for season three and four that should be shot next year in Canada.

XV: What’s the most unexpected and surprising (to us) thing that’s going to happen in your career this coming year?

JL: I myself waiting to be surprised but that’s the thing with my career, so far; randomly I get some crazy opportunities! God is good, you never know… Just gotta keep following me @jrlee_socrazy

XV: How’s family life treating you? Does your son enjoy watching your comedy videos?

JL: Contrary to popular belief, I don’t have a son. Champions is 100% a made up character, but my family watches all my videos, especially my mother and in her eyes I’m the biggest entertainer in the world.

XV: As a seasoned entertainer, what advice would you give to aspiring comedians looking to make it big?

JL: Be consistent, don’t focus on the material things first, focus on mastering your craft: the money and fame comes when you’re a master. I’m still working on mastering different aspects of my art, so the work never ends. Find a trustworthy team and treat them justly and have patience, it’ll work out.

XV: What’s the best advice you’ve received in your career, and who gave it to you?

JL: ”Bredda, you mad? It will work out”  This simple line came from a mentor of mine, Sheridan “Grassroots” Edwards, when I told him I think I giving up on entertainment ‘cause it’s not working out. I was like 18/19 then and just felt like nothing was going right. Ten years later, I’m happy I listened to his advice!
