Young persons attending the Aranguez edition of the popular Ministry of Youth Development and National Service’s (MYDNS) “Youth Caravan” expressed great concern about the recent Dengue outbreak and questioned Health Minister, Terrence Deyalsingh and various Ministry of Health officials on site about preventative measures, while seeking information on how the virus is transmitted, as well as contingency and recovery plans for those who are infected. This, even as the Caravan, which has been visiting communities around the nation, shared skills training, financial advice, entrepreneurship assistance and other programmes and information to assist the young people of Aranguez, Petit Bourg, San Juan and environs.
The Caravan included booths and representatives from various government agencies, programmes, initiatives and affiliates, including but not limited to: OJT Intern, MTS, Cipriani College, NEMDEVCO, Shade House Project, YTEPP Limited, NESC Technical Institute, CARIRI, EXtension Training and Information Services Division, Civilian Conservation Corps, MIC Institute of Technology, Office Gems Institute, The Children’s Authority of T&T, NEDCO, NALIS and many more. Entertainment was provided by singer, Orlando Octave, alongside DJs Junior and Akeem 5.0 of Vibes with Voicey.
