This week we caught up with the much acclaimed Fog Angels Mas Band team in Tobago following their successful and long awaited launch for the upcoming Tobago Carnival in October 25th-27th .

Q. Fog Angels have taken over the landscape of Tobago Carnival, did you expect it to happen? Was it part of the plan?

A. Our hardworking team knew that they wanted to make a highly impressionable impact, but the overwhelming embrace from everyone has been beyond our wildest dreams, and we couldn’t be more thrilled!

Q. What can masqueraders expect from Fog Angels this year?

A. Our dear beloved, loyal, and new Fog Angels masqueraders can get ready for the best experience yet! They can expect a Fog 3.0 version of last year, with more of everything: more drinks trucks, more food, more vibes, more sexy and more after-parties. This simply means we have taken things up a few notches and further enhanced our services.

With our already vibrant costumes that were released a week ago, we are pampering the look and vibe that you will remember Tobago Carnival for, simply out of this world. Picture your happy place moving along the waterfront with a cocktail in your hand, a pretty costume hugging your skin, and the best Soca music from around the Caribbean. Add some garnish to that, and you will get an experience of a lifetime with the biggest and sexiest band in Tobago Carnival. We’ve got a whole lot of surprises. This is just the tip of the iceberg. This is the year you definitely have to be here to experience it, don’t take the chance to miss it. As my colleague says, this is the year people will really see what Tobago Carnival is all about.

Q. How many sections and masqueraders are you planning for this year, and was there an increase? If so, is it local or foreign-based?

A. This year, we presented 9 dazzling sections for Pretty Mas and 6 vibrant sections for Jouvert. We are anticipating tremendous growth, however, we will definitely cap it off in order to successfully cater to our masqueraders’ needs and give them the quality service they deserve. Registrations will close earlier this year. The excitement is global, we’re seeing a mix of local, both Trinidad and Tobago passion, and a great flow of international registrations coming in.

Q. What were your first thoughts when you heard the website crashed because of the amount of requests?

A. When the website crashed, we were very much confused. When our tech team explained that it was due to an overload of users on the system, we were shocked and began scrambling to get things back up. A lot of people said to us it’s a problem we should be happy or love to have—proof that everyone wants a piece of the Fog Angels magic!

Q. What’s next for the Fog Angels team?

A. Tobago is not the limit! We’re not just stopping at Tobago. We’ve got plans to bring the Fog Angels’ infectious vibe to other carnivals around the world, spreading our unique blend of joy and celebration. But first, let’s make this Tobago Carnival unforgettable. Stay tuned—the best is yet to come! As we say, Play Safe, Play Sexy, Play Fog Angels. This year an experience of a lifetime awaits you.
