In our second XVibes issue, we told you that Akeem “Preedy” Chance was next in line to ascend to greater levels of visibility and acclaim. The Maloney Gardens-native has proven us right by qualifying for the Young Kings final, even as he prepares to drop another blazing song release featuring Soca Queen, Patrice Roberts this coming week and enter both the Ultimate Soca Champion contest and the Extempo competition.
“There’s no more holding back for me,” he told XVibes, fresh from the last video shoot sequence in Maloney Gardens. “I’ve been getting a lot of interest and good business opportunities outside of Trinidad, so I feel like this is my time to show all of my skills and talents and really make my mark on the ground here, before I venture out to represent T&T on bigger stages and achieve even more.”
