XVibes is committed to supporting and promoting our OCM affiliates, so this week we highlight the dynamic team behind the all-new Drive Time show called “The Afternoon Lime” on RED 96.7 FM. Enhancing the airwaves daily from 3 – 6 pm Monday to Thursday, “The Afternoon Lime” will add a stress-relieving, comedic component to the after-work segment and aims to engage the listening public in all the revelry of the Greatest Show on Earth as Carnival 2025 heats up. Popular DJs, Kevon X and Smokey are two of the hottest DJs on the ground, in the parties and everywhere else, who will now bring their engaging animated style to the prime time slot alongside host, Ishmali Mc Kay for a potent combination of fun and entertaining vibes.

“The approach is to take you home feeling as light as possible,” said Ishmali, “because we understand the world that we are living in where people are walking around frustrated with life and it’s challenges, crime, the economic struggles and so many other difficult things that life throws at you. You don’t need to compound this in your head while heading home in the afternoon, so we take a lighter approach and our discourse and topics are constructed to have you laughing, thinking and reminiscing at good times.”

The Afternoon Lime will feature segments such as:

“BUSS OUT”, which is designed to capture the people who are leaving their offices and work sites and engages listeners to describe their work days ending with the tag: “I looking to BUSS OUT!

Listeners can also look out for a new segment coming soon called “BACCHANAL BUS” which was conceptualize by Kevon X and is sure to stir interest as the season comes along.

What makes this trio great is the collaboration of three different personalities, which makes for different perspectives and good conversation, but at the end of every show, The Afternoon Lime Team always asks the ultimate question: “What did we learn today”
