Since 2019, Xperience has established itself as the premier breakfast cooler event in the southland, and will solidify its status with the fifth installment of the event, happening this this weekend under the theme “The Trident”.

Event Founder and Lollabee Group Managing Director, Sheldon Stephen said the event was designed to celebrate the south, while pushing the boundaries of creativity and the industry standard for quality and creativity.

“This year, we’ve spent close to a million dollars on the stage and we don’t really need or have to do that because the event has been sold out for weeks now. We are committed to elevating the production values and creating an amazing and memorable experience for our patrons, so it’s an investment in improving the event production culture in T&T.”

The breakfast party phenomenon has taken over the fete scene in recent years due to its immense fun factor, lower price point –in most cases– and the jouvert-esque freedom vibe that accompanies early morning parties.

More mature revellers will recall that the genesis for these types of events started privately in Diamond Vale, but was established in the mainstream back in 1999 when Event Promoter and Producer, Ian Wiltshire brought his Island Style “Insomnia” event to Trinidad, from its organic birthplace — his backyard in Toronto. Designed to follow the National Panorama Finals celebrations in the wee hours of Carnival Sunday morning, Island Style teamed up with Island People to make “Insomnia” the biggest event on Carnival Sunday for many years.

XVibes was also informed that “Insomnia” is due to return in 2026.

More recently, the ever popular (but now dormant) iUP breakfast party and the still trending Soaka breakfast party events have both added water to the formula, while the younger “Stink N Dutty” series has further evolved the experience to include elements of J’ouvert with water-based paints, water towers, cart sections and  mega performances onstage.

Xperience’s Logistics, Sound, Entertainment, Ticketing, Production and Promotions Director, Benny Hatem said the value of the Xperience is paramount to the event’s success.

“We listen to their feedback and do our best to ensure we deliver the highest levels of quality and service all around. For example, the food court usually opens at 6 am, but patrons asked for food earlier, so now we have two food courts for the 2025 installment, with one operating from 3-6 am and one from 6-9 am, so patrons can eat early if they choose to. That’s just one example of how much we try to tailor the event to meet the desires of our patrons.”

While Xperience does not include any water elements, there is a cool zone, Patrons also take the opportunity to really have their photos taken by professional photographers who cover the event.

Keep it locked to XVibes for full coverage of this and other unique and trending events happening in Carnival 2025.
