Soca Melee in Mexico

Several of the top Soca stars are heading to Cancun, Mexico this coming weekend to meet Soca lovers from around the globe for the first annual, Melee Destination Event. Hosted by Tribe in conjunction with Soca legend, Machel Montano the event will showcase and represent Trinidad Carnival mas and Soca music at the Palace Moon Resort over 5 days and 4 nights.

Jamaican dancehall star, Beenie Man will join Vincentian bards, Skinny Fabulous and Problem Child, alongside Farmer Nappy, Lyrical, Voice, Viking Ding Dong and Kerwin DuBois with Soca Queen’s, Destra and Patrice Roberts sweetening the mix as well. Guests will enjoy the resort’s 4-star facilities and activities in addition to several concert and interactive performance events planned.

2020 Joint Road March and Soca Monarch Champs, Kes are noticeably absent from this year’s itinerary, but sources inside the camp told Express Vibes that the band of brothers recently inked a partnership deal to appear and perform at the next Melee Destination event and will promote that event heavily over the coming months also.
