Ever since Tobago Carnival’s inception, one band has remained unwavering in its commitment to quality, service and the masquerader experience. That band is Fog Angels Mas, a name that has steadily cemented its place as the premier band of Tobago Carnival.
Driven by an uncompromising pursuit of excellence, Power couple and bandleaders Tele and Keri Cruz have built far more than a mas band, they are carefully crafting the Fog Angels brand into one synonymous with premium Carnival experiences. Alongside their dedicated team, they have never viewed success as a race to the top. Instead, they have focused on laying a solid foundation, brick by brick, creating a structure capable of standing the test of time.
Today, whenever Tobago Carnival is mentioned, Fog Angels is inevitably part of the conversation. For many masqueraders, the band has become the first choice, offering the perfect blend of quality, safety, exceptional customer service and unforgettable experiences, from the first splash of J’Ouvert paint to the final celebration after the last truck leaves the road.
For 2026, Fog Angels invites revelers into Fantasy Island, its most ambitious presentation to date. Even before the official launch, excitement has spread beyond the shores of Trinidad and Tobago, with enquiries and registrations already pouring in from international masqueraders eager to converge on Tobago for another signature “foggy” experience.
But Fog Angels is delivering far more than Pretty Mas. The band has once again, with some key partnerships, curated an immersive lineup of events that has become synonymous with the Fog Angels experience. The festivities begin on Friday with Stink N Dutty at 3 a.m., followed by J’Ouvert at 4 a.m. and the ever-popular Sand Jam at 10 a.m. New for 2026 is The Gala, an elegant pink-and-white affair hosted at the Coco Reef Hotel from 3 p.m., where patrons are invited to dress in their finest for an afternoon of sophistication, premium entertainment, drink, ambience and celebration. The Carnival excitement continues with Beach to Beach, a Monday Wear event at 2 p.m., before the band brings the festivities to a fitting close with its signature Last Lap celebration on November 2 from 7 p.m., ensuring masqueraders enjoy the full Fog Angels experience long after they leave the road.
According to co-bandleader Tele Cruz, Fantasy Island is far more than another Carnival theme—it is an invitation to escape reality.
“Fantasy Island was born from the idea of creating an escape from the ordinary, a place where imagination replaces routine and every moment feels magical,” Cruz explained. “We wanted to build a world where masqueraders could leave reality behind and immerse themselves in colour, music, freedom and pure wonder.”
Rather than simply wearing a costume, Cruz said masqueraders become part of a living story.
“From the moment they enter the Fog Angels journey, we want them to feel as though they’ve stepped through a portal into an island where anything is possible. Every costume, every section and every detail has been intentionally designed to transport them into a different fantasy.”
That philosophy extends well beyond costume design. Cruz said Fog Angels continues to challenge itself to elevate every aspect of the Carnival experience.
“Every year we push ourselves to raise the standard, and 2026 represents our biggest step forward yet,” he said.
“Our vision has never been limited to providing costumes. We are creating an immersive Carnival journey that begins long before masqueraders’ step onto the road. From registration to costume collection, from J’Ouvert to Pretty Mas, every touchpoint has been carefully considered.”
He said masqueraders can expect premium presentation, exceptional customer service, elevated hospitality, exciting entertainment and thoughtful details that make them feel genuinely valued.
One of the band’s greatest strengths, Cruz noted, is its willingness to listen.
“We take feedback seriously and use it to improve every aspect of the Fog Angels experience. Our goal is simple—when Carnival is over, we want every masquerader to leave saying, ‘That wasn’t just Carnival. That was Fog Angels.'”
As Tobago Carnival continues its rapid rise on the regional and international stage, Cruz believes every stakeholder has a role to play in maintaining that momentum.
“Tobago Carnival has evolved tremendously over the past few years. It has grown into a festival attracting greater international attention while showcasing the creativity, culture and unique spirit that make Tobago special.”
He believes bandleaders must continue raising the standard by creating experiences that encourage visitors to return year after year.

With pre-registration already underway, Cruz is encouraging Carnival lovers not to wait.
Early registration, he said, provides first access to costume reveals, package details and exclusive announcements, while allowing masqueraders to spread payments and secure their preferred section before it sells out.
“Fantasy Island is shaping up to be one of our most ambitious presentations yet, and we encourage everyone who wants to be part of it to reserve their place early.”
For Cruz, however, Fog Angels has always been about much more than selling costumes.
He wants the brand to be recognized for excellence, creativity, innovation and unforgettable memories.
“Every decision we make is guided by one question: ‘How do we create an experience people will never forget?’ That philosophy influences everything—from costume design and entertainment to customer service, hospitality and production.”
