The Jamaica Tourist Board will be welcoming TEMPO Networks to Jamaica this year to produce the second season of Hot Ones Caribbean, the Caribbean version of Complex Networks’ popular interview web series, Hot Ones.

Hot Ones is one of the most popular US web series, created by Christopher Schonberger and produced by First We Feast and Complex Media.

First We Feast founded in 2012 views food as an illuminating lens into pop culture, music, travel and has curated a slate of food-driven franchises like Hot Ones, Food Grails, The Burger Show, Food Skills, and Feast Mansion. Hot Ones involves celebrities being interviewed by host Sean Evans over a platter of increasingly spicy chicken wings.

Hot Ones has had over 1 billion views on the web and won the 2018 Shorty Award for Best Web Series, the 2019 Webby Award for Food & Drink. Host Sean Evans won the 2018 and2019 Webby Award for Best Web Personality/Host. Additionally, First We Feast received the2014 James Beard Award for “Best Food Blog” and the 2019 James Beard Award for “Best Online Video, on Location.”

Hot Ones – Caribbean Edition will mirror the format of the U.S. iteration, with celebrity guests being invited to eat increasingly spicier varieties of chicken wings as they answer probing questions.

That said, the Caribbean Edition will feature other local foods, given that the region is famed for its spicy cuisine, including the Moruga Scorpion Pepper and the Scorpion Butch T pepper, both of which originate from Trinidad & Tobago.

TEMPO promises another entertaining season of the hit series featuring a diverse mix of Jamaican talent and celebrities from across various sectors of the arts, music, fashion, sports, culinary arts, business and government.

Fresh from an exciting first season produced in Trinidad and Tobago, the home of the scorpion pepper, which featured the likes of top Trinibad dancehall artist, Prince Swanny to social media comedy sensation, Rodey, TEMPO is set to heat it up again, this time in JamRock.

If you have not seen the first season as yet, be sure to head on over to TEMPO Networks YouTube Channel and join the hundreds of thousands of viewers who have enjoyed 14 episodes featuring some of Trinidad and Tobago’s top talent and celebrities.

Stay tuned for more announcements as Season 2 of Hot Ones Caribbean from Irie Jamaica rolls out. It’s gonna be a HOT One!
