Tonght Songshine celebrates the talented artists of the region, with Caribbean Connection.

Unity is beautiful, and over the years, many CARICOM performers have lit up the popular Songshine Open Mic stage. The series featured Ruth Osman and Gerry Williams from Guyana, Charlie Bobus, Christian Campbell and Staceyann Chin from Jamaica, Glenn Charlery from St Lucia, and Jomo Lord from Barbados, just to name a few.

Gillian Moor, founder of Songshine has extended an invitation to Caribbean music lovers to celebrate CARICOM’s anniversary, “We cherish their contribution and this show is an open invitation to all performers, from here and from further afield, to share their music, poetry, singing, and more, with us. We’re also celebrating the 50th anniversary of CARICOM, because s we know, we’re better together.”

Songshine will take place at Kafe Blue on Wrightson Road, on Tuesday 11th July, from 8 – 11 pm. Admission costs $50.
